About Your Teacher

Natasha started practising yoga from a young age.  Having been a gymnast since preschool she instantly connected with the poses and enjoyed the non competitive and nurturing environment.  As an acrobat she competed at a national level for five years.  Artistic gymnastics was a foundation in learning and building on strength and flexibility, tumbling, apparatus, dance and competition.

After finishing her gymnstics days she went on to coach, becoming qualified as a Women’s Intermediate Gymnastics Coach.  Her lifelong love of acrobatics inspired her to qualify as an Acrobatics Coach.  Various training has been udertaken through Gymnastics Queensland.   Rebound Therapy was a very interesting qualification obtained through Gymnastics Australia.  The discipline invovles gymnastics based skills on a trampoline and is designed specifically for those with a disability.

For ten years Natasha has assisted people with a disability as a support worker, having a Certificate IV in Disability Work and Certificate IV in Allied Health Assitance.  Together with clients they establishe goals and work towards these aspirations.  Many goals set by individuals have a health and wellness foundation.  Natasha was inspired to bring together her career skills and form a gymnastics class for those with physical and intellectual disabilities.  She also teaches yoga classes to people with disabilites and enjoys establishing methods to connect to clients and engage everyone in the class.  An course in Art Therapy and creativity with varying models of treatment for different client groups run by the Expressive Therapy Clinic gave Natasha extra skills to offer during wokshops and specific classes.

A 200 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course was undertaken in 2012 through Aura Wellness to gain a deeper understanding of yoga.  Various ongoing education is alwasy important.  She then completed a Children’s Yoga Teacher Course with Being Yoga in 2013 and Yoga Therapy for Kids through Inspired Kids Yoga Teacher Training in 2017.   Natasha has a police check and blue card.

Yoga is a daily practice in Natasha’s life.
